Our Art Place
Our program is a Reggio-inspired, academically guided art school designed to support adults at every stage of their artistic journey—from curious beginners to experienced creatives. We offer a flexible curriculum that encourages exploration across a wide range of multimedia materials and techniques, including charcoal, oil paint, mixed media, watercolor, and more.
Our goal is to help you discover the medium and style that best express your voice while building a strong foundation in technique and creative thinking.
You’ll also become part of an inspiring, supportive community of artists, all guided by professional fine artist and 5-star-rated instructor Hannah Wynkoop. Whether you're here to relax, refine your skills, or reignite your creativity, you’ll find your place here.

Studio Commitment that Fits Your Life
Hannah’s Art Place makes atelier-level training accessible for adults balancing creative goals with busy lives. Whether you're a complete beginner or a returning artist ready to refine your skills, there’s a place for you here.
Our courses and studio sessions are designed with working adults in mind, with weekday evening and weekend daytime options. You’ll grow at your own pace in a supportive environment that values both structure and flexibility.
Our Studio Environment
Students work under natural east-facing light in an open studio with personal comfort.
We limit all sessions to 6 students maximum to ensure everyone receives individualized guidance, technique demonstrations, and feedback tailored to their medium and goals.
In addition, we also offer Mixed Studio sessions, a unique opportunity to work independently on your own projects alongside fellow artists.
Who Joins Us
We currently welcome over 40 students, from young professionals to retirees—all drawn by the desire to connect with their creativity and develop a strong foundation. Many are inspired by the techniques of Sargent, Monet, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and other masters, while forging their own path.
Where to Begin
If you’re new to art or haven’t taken a formal class before, please fill out our Application Form so we can learn about your goals. We usually recommend starting with our Academic Drawing course to build a solid foundation in proportion, shading, and perspective. From there, you’ll be ready to explore oil painting, watercolor, charcoal, and more.
Not ready to commit? Try a 2-hour intro session during our Mixed Studio hours to get a feel for Hannah’s Art Place firsthand.
If you’re a returning or intermediate artist, we recommend exploring our intermediate and advanced courses, such as Oil Painting, Art from Art, or Portraiture, which offer deeper study and technical refinement in a supportive, small-group environment. These classes are designed to challenge and inspire, while still allowing space for your personal style to grow. Stay tuned for more courses!
